Chincoteague 8/18-8/21 lookin to ho

My son and I will be at Trails End campground on these dates in aug. and I will be bringing my 18' john boat to do some fishing and crabbing but would love to go offshore with my 12 year old for his first time. Any help as to fishing the area around chinco or ho-ing offshore would be greatly appreacated. thanks

Follow the boats to Queens Sound for flounder. You will go over it on your way in, can't help but see the boats if it's a nice day. I always see a lot of people crabbing and fishing for flounder over in Assateague channel near the Assateague Island bridge too. Launch at Memorial Park for the shortest trip to Assateague channel.
