Yes the reports with the exception of a few have been lack there of ! I find myself (now with two little ones) venturing off less and less after real species and simply hanging close to the marina with squid and bottom rigs more often. I caught a lot of fish just out of SUnset this year on Elie's pink Barbie pole Enjoying the family time but missing the "Hardcore targeting" That is really all I can say for my reports. The few trips I have made out this year I have only caught a few Flounder here and there. I get my intel mainly from others in the Marina who are tight lipped most of the time due to the overwhelming number of just bought the boat and havent taken a saftey course yetters!!! Or guys that dont pay dues and like others said, just swarm to any area that holds a fisherman that they see getting a net. Yes I remember my first trips, yes a lot of my successes have come from great info I gain on Tidal fish but One post 3000 views and not even a thanks for the report!!

I remember a particular instance last year. We had found a decent bite on the bridge, we enjoyed ourselves for about 30 minutes to an hour and then someone saw the net come out. He then made a drift and caught a couple in our same pattern. He then whipped out his cell phone and called in three more boats. I have never been more pissed in my life.

We had an unscrupulous Charter this past weekend mess us up and you want to know why I don't post on a public forum anymore?

You have my cell Mike, I will share verbally but not on this board.

Keith, I'm just messin with you brother. But really we can't blame TF for all the inconsiderate boaters and anglers on the water. I think the idiots have been around much longer than the internet.

The Internet is bad for fishing. Put your time in and adapt to the conditions that are given and you will catch fish - they are always there. It is simply a matter of making the right choices and not being afraid to do something out of the norm. If you want to enjoy a bite keep it to yourself, simple as that

Kind of like chartering a well known flounder guide and then boats piled up on his holes the next week.Everyone wants to catch fish its just ashame some folks cant figure things out on their own.Its to late now the bay is overloaded with boats and disrespectful fisherman with no boating etiquette.I like tidal fish but to many people want top be stars and it has its effects on fishing for sure.I have also been out there with one of the best fisherman I know whom I fished with for years and slayed sheepshead and the next day you couldnt get any where around where we fished the prior day because of being followed and pulling out the net so its not only fishing reports on tidal fish that has an effect.Sad but true.

As you can tell by my join date I've been around since the old board.
When Ray Heim (deceased) and I use to fish everyday I would post quite often, the last couple of years
not so much but I do check the posting all the time and have noticed the changing of the board.....

I mainly post during striper season to give people a heads up on the wire line fishing at the tubes and
if I manage to do a repower I will do so again this year...

I've fished three times this year with friends.....one flounder skunk, one spanish trip that ended with only four blues
and a tog trip today and the guys anchor line broke and power pro got wrapped around the prop....I hate to type
that out much less pass it along....

yamaha has just come out with a 5year warranty deal so maybe I can work out a deal and get my mighty 18ft
kencraft back in the boatel and out in the bay where she belongs....
