    Default flounder gigging

Anyone still do any flounder gigging on the seaside? A friend does it in Hatteras all the time and we thought we'd try it on the ESVA seaside. Of course, our bugs are worse....

Any tips or info would be appreciated!

I would check the regs, I'm not sure if it is even legal in VA.

it is; I had thought it wasn't, too. Of course size limits count so you have to be sure!

I think it's a little harder to find a spot that is a big shallow flat that has clear water to gig in Va. There is alot of flats in NC that work for gigging. Now if you find a good gig spot in Va. that holds fish you better keep it to your self. I have 4 gigs in the shed that i'm itching to stick into some flaties.
Flounder gigging is popular on the coast of Texas.

    Good Luck,
