Tuesday 7/31 on the Rapp

Made it to the ramp on Carters creek around 8ish to beautiful skies and flat waterWe put the minnow trap out with a half opened can of cat food for bait and by the time the boat was launched and gear loaded etc. we had all the big fat minnows you could possibly need for a day of flounder feeding. Made our way to the mooring buoys where there was one other boat ,looked like they were jigging and saw a couple nice flatties come over the side. No love for me just a few really BIG toads. Spent the next few hours drifting from the pickle factory to the bridge pulling in minnow heads so I know the flounder are there I just need to be a little more patient with my hook set and give um some more chewing time. As a side note whoever put that pound net just downriver from the bridge sure did mess up a good float but all in all it was a beautiful day on the water

We drifted that area last Saturday with only 2 throwbacks to show for it.
We did catch some nice Croaker , Puppy Drum and Trout in that area though.
