Capt. Frank - I would love to have a very experienced diver top side - just in case I got in a real mess.

Trouble is - some one like that is tough to find. My wife and son do not have nearly the skill needed.

Then would come the horrible guilt if they or another diver got me free but did not make it back to surface.

You've been down there - you know what it is like on the bottom of the bay. I give you credit diving when Bull sharks were not uncommon.

No way I can explain the draw muck diving holds for me - just some thing I enjoy doing. I weigh the danger carefully and there are some days I trust my gut and cancel a dive. Like you said - dieing for a $20.00 chunk of steel would be stupid.

Trust me , I'd love to have 5-10 feet of viz. but I'm comfortable in the dark and near zero viz.

Hard to explain but I can " see " OK with my hands , arms , legs and flippers.
