Blue Crab Shed 4-1/4" to 6" 08/04/2012
I believe I read something last week they are shedding.... But not growing? this one did!
She was in a crab pot for two days and a male crab held her as a double the whole time. And this morning.. Turned into a mature female release into the wild to create more baby crabs......

08/08/2012-Add another from 4" to 6" pretty darn cool, And yes retuned to the wild to live another day.

Always figured they grew about 1 to 1 1/2" each shed at that age.
That's a good sign for all the crabs in that size range for the rest of the year.

Looks like it. Pier is starting to pick up some every evening after work this week.
Tue-5 Wed-8 Thur-8 Fri-22 43 total Not a bad little haul.
