Omega is the culprit. The net hung up during the set and put a huge hole in it. By the time they choked the net up it killed most of the menhaden and they dropped out of the hole dead. What a shame. I was out yesterday and there is still rotten menhaden everywhere. This info came straight from the captains mouth. I can only wish that one day they kick this company out of our state for good!

Agreed, Robalo. Saw the dead menhaden in Cape Charles harbor today and yesterday. All fish had their heads off. Very, very sad. Time for VA politicians to wise up, and get Omega out of the state.

I saw the same thing on the bay about 3-4 years ago. Dead Menhaden floating by for about 30 minutes and I never saw the end of the line of fish.
