It wasnt the marlin that sunk the boat, it was the captain. We have backed down on big blue marlin with out problems, but when you fall while going full throttle reverse, it typically wont have a good ending especially in a smaller boat.

It only takes one or two good digs in the stern and then everything can go to hell quickly, luckily they weren't all alone out there
