Not crabbin. Headin to WVA

Hey folks,
Not to waste time with BS on the crabbin Board, but since crabbin is not hot yet, I am posting DIS!!!
This coming Wednesday me and a friend are headed to West By God West Va. to wade fish the South Branch of the Potomac in Smoke Hole Canyon for Trout, bass, yatta.

I think the Wx and water level of the stream should be ok.
Wish me luck! Camping in a great trailer, eating rib eyes and Venesin cooked on the grill in the evening, campfire under da stars.
I cant wait! Fishin all day, each day. Sleepin like a log at night!

YEP!!!, but not in WV.
Done dat in CO during elk (archery) season.
Fished mid-day catchin rainbows & cut throats which we devoured for dinner.
Slept like a log w/a buzzzzzzzzzzzzz saw for company.
Life only gets better when we're crabbin'![excited]

Been there, done that many times. I gotta place up there and its a hard choice between being in the Neck or going to the Mts. South Branch was a little high a couple of weeks ago, but shud be fine now.

Took off last Thursday got 3.

I ve been der and done dat too. This is a repeat trip from last year. Prior to that, I went to Smoke Hole with my dad over 30 years sao and have very fond mems.
It may not be the Swan, or is it the Snake? in Montana with the Great guide I had last August fly fishing for CT Trout, but hey. I cant wait.

Capt Dale, I am glad you scored. I thought about you going to work each day wondering if you were out or not.

Well the first two days wx was great. Thursday night I got all the rain this area got on Friday.

The river was way down and the fish where very skidish. I caught a big brown Trout the very first cast and then only small rainbows and smallmouths for most of the trip.

It was good to get back up to West By God though.

Now, on to quabbin! If only the temp would warm up for us!

Oh, coming back on 495 I caught a few awesome glimpses of military Jets at the Andrews AFB airshow.

Very cool!
