Default Running the line near OC - where to go?

Heading to Ocean City end of this month and trying to decide best place to run my trot line. Don't want to drive more than 40 minutes from downtown Ocean City. Any ideas?

I was thinking about Crisfield...has to be somewhere closer than that though.

I haven't crabbed there in several years but I used to do well in Herring creek when I stayed in OC,
a lot closer than crisfield, but crisfield is also a good choice

Herring creek is a trib of Isle of Wight bay- nothing fast and furious but usually managed short Bu for a few hrs trotlining in the mid day, (wouldn't get up early I was on Vac!)

Jim - I can tell you that Turville Creek, which is shown on RJ's map, was covered with pots two weeks ago.

be very careful in that bay, the boat traffic is horrible, and alot of the people have no clue what they are doing. be certain to set up far out of the way

I recommend considering the St Martins River above rt 90.
It is somewhat out of the way and does hold crabs.
I am going back to the 80's with this advice but it is based on good experience from then.
    Have fun and good luck!

Crisfield is only 50 minutes away if you cut through Snow Hill. Probably be less water traffic.

Cirsfield might be a possibility too. Undecided.

What's a good crabbing creek near Crisfield with a public ramp?
