    Default Ragged Point, Little Choptank

Crabs out in force in Little Choptank. Launched from Ragged Point and crabbed mostly 3-7' with 30 box and 10 topless traps. Went with Mike2U (perfect example of what makes tidalfish a great site). Crabs ran all day. Averaged probably 9 per run with highest about 15. Only saw commercial guys out. Crabs weren't huge but totaled about 1.5 bushels. Decent amount of meat with a few lites and a few heavies. Great day on the water. Great place to crab, although the three hour trip takes a toll. Trip should be getting much shorter after this warm weather.

I want to Thank You again for a great day on the Bay Crabbeer. You are right when you say this is what Tidalfish is all about. Given people the the ability to meet new friends and share each other passion for crabs. I do have to say I'm glad we decided not to go north, we might have had over 2 bushels.. lol.. We'll people i must say crabbeer is the perfect captian and a very nice guy. I do have to confess though that his box traps out did my Topless traps by far, but that may be more because I don't know how to tie knots and lost 3 of them.. So if anyone pulls a topless trap up off Ragged Point " THERE MINE " I'm still learning and will redo my lines again so next time I will out do his traps. Again Thank You Tidalfish and Crabbeer for everything. Looking forward to next time. Hey Crabbeer,, I will get you into the Wye this year..

Hit the L. Choptank again today with a good friend from work. He drove so that made the trip good in and of itself. Worked fairly hard for about 2/3 bushel in about 6 hours. Wind was rather strong so we were limited with our crabbing grounds.

Used 30 traps, crabs seemed to be a bit deeper (6-8'). DNR stopped by and treated us well after throwing back a few. Crabs were very good, few lites and many fat ones. I'll be out again this Friday, not sure where yet, hopefully a bit closer.
