    Default Crabbing the commercial areas

Has or does anyone ever move to the crab line and drop there traps ?

My buddy is smoking the crabs on a 2 day set with over 6 bushels a day and granted he's using pots, most of us are only looking to eat a bushel.

Mid bay area, 15 to 20 ft deep.

What are the recreational limits in MD??? Down here in VA you are allowed 1 bu per vessel per day. I wish I could do so good!

    Bill, check your b-m's

......Tom, he's commercial....but in MD 1 bushel per day per recreactional license, no more than 2 bushel total per boat recreationally...regardless of rec. licensed people on board.

    Hey Bill - what's up?

I thought about the idea but the difference in temp from the surface to bottom, IMHO, is too great. Those crabs would be dropping like fly's from the line. traps with 20ft of line might be a different story.

With theses temps this week it shouldn't matter anyway, they will be moving up to the shallows.
