    Default Severn crabing

    I went crabing in the severn last saturday got 1& 3/4 bushel(trotline), going out tuesday. Just woundering how good everyone else is doing? please post if your using tortline or traps please.

    I WAS DOWN LAST FRIDAY IN THE SEVERN AND NOTICED TONS OF GRASS GROWING AND ONLY GOT 4 DOZ BUT THEN AGAIN ONLY RAN 400 FT OF LINE. ALL THE SAME THEY WERE GOOD BUT THE LOW TIDE WAS IN THE A.M. AND I NOTICED THE SECOND HALF OF THE WEEK THIS MONTH THEY ARE FALLING IN THE SAME PATTERN. MAYBE I DIDN'T NOTICE IN THE PAST IF THAT WAS AN EARLY SEASON THING OR WHAT BUT BOY I SURE WOULD LOVE TO HIT IT ON THE HIGH TIDE-MAYBE I'LL HAVE TO HIT IT EARLY IN THE WEEK.

    Nice work striper!
    I hope to get out on the severn with some traps in the next week or so. Where did you lay your line( I dont need specific location)? Depth? tide? time o day? My crabbin hut is close to the round bay area and wondered if the are running that far up the river yet.

    went today caught just a little over 2 bushcel. I carb just south or the Severn river bridge about 1/2 mile down. I get our their around 3:00 to beat the COMMERCAIL guys. U know how they get when YOUR IN THEIR SPOT.[sad]. Right now i was catching them from 4-9 feet of water. It should pick up next week when it gets warmer.

    Where is there a boat ramp I can launch a jon boat at on the Severn? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    "Eat and Have Fun" I'll bet your belly is full with 2+ Bushells. I thought commercial license were for those who depend on the bay for a living!
