    Default Crabbing Supplies

We are working on stocking our store and would like feedback. What type of crabbing supplies do you expect or wish that were available in your local fishing or marine supply stores? We are looking for feedback from the serious crabbers, so please let us know.

......a compitent manufactuer of Stainles steel and aluminum custom fabricated products. I need a dipper and don't feel like spending countless hours calling around and driving to places that do not exist anymore to see if Grandpa willie still makes these. Please cater to the commercial crabber as well as the rec.
    Thanks, Chris

    Jim,

rj hit the nail on the head. I live in Pa.[grin] and obtaining crabbing supplies is a nightmare. Have been to Clyde's in Baltimore,Reistertown bait abd tackle( best so far) and Anglers. Sure would be nice to obtain a few things at one place. I alone need snood line supplies, line, gloves and a stainless rack.

And as rj noted----discount for tf'ers[smile][tongue]

Just word to the wise.....you don't need a HUGE inventory......What people want here they may not want elsewhere. In Southern Maryland you would hard pressed to find #7 or #8 locktite line.....on the Eastern Shore that's all they seem to have (Cambridge)...over there you would be hard pressed to find #4 or #5, which we use down here. You are doing the right thing but, make it more area specific...get feedback where your store will be as to what they need THERE. Get the pulse of the people and after that the only thing you need to do is pricecheck to make sure you are in the ballpark....some people will drive miles for a $2 savings...you'd be suprised.
    GOOD LUCK!
