Default Anyone have pics of frozen bay/rivers

Does anyone have pictures of frozen parts of the bay or rivers? Just thought it would be neat to see as it does not happen that often.

No pictures, but as I was traveling across the Susquehanna River on Saturday via I-95, I noticed the river was frozen. Couldn't tell how thick, but was frozen across the entire river. I remember ice fishing as a kid on Old Man Creek, a trib of the Magothy River. You're correct, doesn't seem to happen very often now.

I'm waiting for the pics of the Big Yellow Perch that didn't show the last few years from the Susquehanna river that were claimed that it wasn't cold enough for the big ones to show.My claim was that they were cropped off.I'd love to be proven wrong.

Yesterday late morning I drove to several places where I like to kayak fish in the Severn. The tributaries were mostly ice-covered, but the main river was open. Here are two views each of Manresa Cove, Jonas Green park, and Weems Creek.

This was last year around this time. Had to push through skim ice at Sandy Point ramps.

These are from about 5 years ago. Launched from Fort Armstead and ran out the river to the bay - then south. The tide was raising - incoming current.

It was solid ice just to north. Ran to bridge to fish - then found the outgoing current had brought a huge ice mass past the river mouth - blocking my return trip.

Luckily - using radar - I found an opening and took gamble it lead to clear waters. Had to zig zag like in a maze but finally got to other side of ice flow.
