Default Sandy Point ramps iced in ?

Any one know if the ramps are iced in at Sandy Point ?

If so - how thick ?

Eyeing up Thursday - even if it is windy. 60* in January too good to miss.

    Good Day!

I know they "LOOKED" fine from the bridge and also the ramps on KI are clear.

Was at SPSP this morning around 7: am. All roads in the park have “BLACK ICE”, the ramps are slick with ice and slush. 90 percent of the lagoon has about one inch of ice on it, however the ice is very soft (you can drop a boat hook right through it). All ought to be gone by Thursday.

Looks pretty windy especially for the wide open bay. I will launch year round if the conditions are right but tomorrow doesn't look good!Click image for larger version.

Skip; I hope you went. It was windy, but I was at Downs Park around 2pm and the bay (west side) was flat. Wind was out of the south west, with mostly south, but I couldn't believe how calm the bay was.

5th - Sadly I did not. Trees in my back yard were swaying - most times that means rough on bay. Outgoing would be against south 20-25 - not best conditions.
