When will the spadefish show up?

Are there other fish caught there?

right now I think its a little to early for spadefish but they will be here soon!! Right now there are tog around the reef and seabass and also some aberjack can be caught during the summer[grin]

I recommend that all anglers keep some kind of fishing log or develop some other system for knowing what bites, when.

It's still early for spades at the tower. It's been my experience that they start showing up sometime in May.

actually,they showed early.1st. week of May.The bite died,it was real strange.They came back in full force tho.

Some people don't know the fishing patterns here. Maybe they are just getting into fishing, or they might not have as much time to go as others. The only way to figure it out is to ask questions. Keep asking them!!! I learn something new everyday.

The first 2004 edition with a mention of spades was 12 May 2004.
They were on the wrecks, but not biting.

The Spades were there on the 12th of May last year but they wouldn't bite. I caught citation fish the on the 14th. Water temp was 67-68 degrees

We picked up 2 papers on May 14th as well but we had better get some warm weather quick for that 2 happen this year.
