Thought I'd Throw it Out There

My dog keeps trying to eat my nieghbor's cat. He runs right threw the invisable fence. My nieghbor knows when he sees the cat he'll go for it but she let's him out anyway. It's OK for the cat to run loose but if my dog goes threw the fence for the cat I'm the bad guy. Yet the cat while parade just outside the invisable parimeter. What are the rules of engagement and when is it OK to tease the enemy?

This may seem off topic but I think it bares a striking resemblance to some of the post if seen latley.

I say if the dog eats the cat while I'm fishing I'll never know it.

And if the cat "disappears" while the neighbors are at work, your dog will be much happier.[grin]

Solution is easy. A big bowl of Kitty chow on the front stoop for a few days. Kitty gets to loving the kitty chow on your porch and then one day you let rover out in your own yard while kitty is chowing down-- Poor kitty. we'll mis her, Of course my daughter has this Tom cat that is meaner than a rattlesnake and would be my luck, the damn cat would cause a few hundred in vet bills to the mutt. That's why it's great lving in the country: we don't worry about such stuff

Reminds me of the joke about the guy who found his dog playing with the dead body of his neighbor’s cat. Not wanting to get into an argument with his neighbor he took the cat from the dog and laid it out in the street in front of the neighbor’s house like it had been hit by a car. A couple of weeks later he was talking to his neighbor and mentioned that he had not seen the cat for a while. The neighbor said that the weirdest thing had happened. He had taken the cat to the Vet and had him put to sleep then brought the body home and buried him in the back yard. The next day he had found that the cat had dug himself out of the grave, gone out in the street and got hit by a car.
