It all depends on wether you want it to skip/pop or swim. The sailure is designed to pop. I never use a weight on it.
When rigging an Ilander, black hole or a sea star, I don't use a chin weight to rig a hoo since the heads are already weighted. But on the tracker, and sailure, the heads are plastic and pretty light. Any opinions on whether it is better to rig these with or without a chin weight? Thanks in advance! steve

I'm with GOLDMAN - if its a flat face, no weight
I don't add weight to the tracker either. They will still swim a little due to the bullet head.
OK, it depends on what you want your baits to do and what the conditions are. . . flat or concave heads = no weight. You want those guys skipping and jumping and makin some noise.
As for the bullet ones, trackers i usually have a little weight on there, jr ilanders--depends on the conditions and how bad i want my bait in the water, ilanders--generally dont run weights as much, but sometime i will on my WWB and sometimes if i have a horse on there. . . but it really is a gametime decision out there and how you want your baits and spread to look.
Get your baits in the water, try it a few ways and you will know what works for you.
