ANYBODY HAVE OR SEEN THE TIGRESS CLAMP ON OUTRIGGERS MADE FOR SOFT TOP T-TOPS? SOUNDS PRETTY COOL & FOR UNDER $700 W/ ALUMINUM 15' POLES AND RIGGING(BASIC). PLUS I DON'T HAVE TO WELD ON ANY PLATES. I HAVE A 22' PANGA CC. AN OFFSHORE BOAT FOR ANYBODY WHO HASN'T FISHED ON ONE IN CENTRAL AMERICA.

You can get Taco gunnel mounts with the poles for about $500 with no welding. I'm not trying to start a fight but Tigress ranks right with Okuma from my limited experience.
THANKS FOR THE INPUT. THE IDEA FOR THIS SYSTEM IS GREAT, BUT YOUR COMMENT IS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, NEVER THE LESS, I WON'T BE OFFSHORE A TON AND THE POLES WILL PROBABLE ONLY BE ON WHEN I GO 1/2 OR LESS TIME A YEAR.

Here's the base: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...146810993&rd=1
And the 15 foot poles: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...147815742&rd=1
A lot cheaper than the ones you were looking at and you can carry them with you and put them up when you need them. they can be handy striper fishing when you're trolling or even when you drift eels.
I can't tell you much about the quality of the tigress products, however I like the tigress over the taco's because they are on a track so they don't spin around which could make a mess. Just don't get the 18'ers as they can bend.
don't think i'll need the 18'ers. nice info. going to try and look them up at boaters world today.

Do you have any angled rod holders on the top corners...like the ones you see on king mac boats? If you do you can make a set of riggers from E-glass gaff blanks and a couple of rod guides. All you really have to do is put on a gimble, a short piece of eva and wind on a couple of guides. This is a great way to make a center rigger by-the-way. Couple of 12' riggers shouldn't set you back more than $250 or so I'd guess. This is just a guess as I've not looked for prices.

cape,
thanks for the idea, put some thought into it.
I just looked and to use a Seeker 10' gaff blank, AmTak aluminum gimble, EVA for protection from the rod holder, and two nonfouling wire guides.......a homemade rigger would be in the ballpark of $125. This is for one (1) rigger. Double that for a pair of "outriggers". I'm thinking about whipping up a 10' center rigger for myself.
