I have decided with some other friends from Poquoson to start the Bull Islanders Fishing Club.

The focus of this club will be friends and families sharing their love of saltwater fishing. It does not matter the size of your vessel. I fished from a 12' John Boat in Bennett's Creek this past Fall for strippers and had a blast with my 7 year old son. I also fished 86 miles off of VA in a 38' Bertram with my family and friends. Both times were plain good old family fishing which I know other's have enjoyed. I say we make a club for those discussions and more!!!

I suggest we have modest awards each month for catches, and a special focus on children. I have lived all my life in Poquoson just like my father and his father before him. I believe we need to teach our children this great sport like it was taught to me.

I will be sending out a draft charter soon for those that are interested. I believe I can arrange a meeting location soon.
