Default OI report - Pointrunner 4/19

Nice day on the water...nice conditions. Ran to the 280 rocks (east of Diamond shoals tower) and fished a hard break in 50 fathoms. 52 degree on green side, 71-74 on warm side. Made our way to the 230 line as well. All in all, decent fishing. We landed 5 Yellowfins (one triple header) in the 25-35 pound range and two wahoos. One was a 15-18 pounder and one was a 33 pounder. We also pulled off another wahoo on the trap with a spoon, a nice Bull dolphin, another tuna and dropped another 4 or 5 good bites. Had a blast...what a sweet boat and great Capt/Mate. HIGHLY recommend them but they are booked the next 70 days straight...

10 rod spread...all meat. Mixture of sea witches and Islanders in various flavors. Hits came in all positions. We pulled the planer/spoon combo for a while and had a nice pull off on a wahoo and one other hit on it. No hot color...blues/pinks/blacks/purples dominated the spread.

She's running but this was a "guys from work" trip and fishing on a 60 footer with a 26-28 knot cruise can spoil you. I'll have some pics shortly...many brain cells were sacraficed on this trip [grin]

Did any of the bites come from the 280 or did they start below 250? We were near you for about a half hour till you guys turned back south. I was just wondering if I should of continued down as well. We had every thing right but had 0 bites. It was tough. Oh well I'm very glad you guys found some. We will next time.[excited] BILL
