Lockwood Inlet/Southport - Holden Beach Fishing Spots

Anyone recommend any hot fishing holes out of lockwood inlet or off Holden Beach?

I can only give you what I've done during the July 4th week when I take my Albe down to beach. There are a ton of offshore wrecks in the vacanity if you're quarry is sea bass or flounder. See http://www.ncfisheries.net/reefs/sofear.htm for reef listings. The spanish are thick off the beach and trolling clarks will get you a ton of them.

Offshore I've only worked an area called the Horseshoe which is about 20-ish+ nm from Lockwood inlet. Have caught kings and mahi trolling hoo's and spoons deep. Try NCWaterman.com for more local information.

This summer I want to run out beyond the tower if I can put together a crew. When are you going to down there?

We are keeping a boat at Bluewater. In the past we have fished the beach for spanish and kings and the inlet and creeks for flounder, spot, trout, etc.
