    Default GPS Jamming May 9,10,11

Hey guys. I'm an air traffic controller and before I left work today, I noticed an anouncement about some GPS jamming by the military next week. I'm pretty lazy about checking my notice to mariners so I decided to give you guys a heads up.

Areas possible effected are the extreme southern Chesapeake and offshore from roughly Wachapreague Inlet east and south down to just south of Oregon Inlet during the following times.

    May 9 1800-2000 EDT

    May 10 0100-0300 EDT
    1400-1600 EDT

    May 11 0100-0300 EDT

This outage wont be too bad. Only a few hours at a time.

Hopefully at most it will only leave a few folks scratching their head wondering why their GPS crapped out for a few hours, but then started working again.

That is info that I would rather "Know before I Go". Thanks for the notice.
