Bring on the warm water!!!!
Last year I caught them on May 8th. then again laste year I caught a bunch of drum on May 8th too.[grin]
The water is still only 54F out at the tower so we got some time to wait. Last year this time we got our first tuna at the Norfolk in 66F water.[sad][sad][sad]
Was out at the Tower last weekend and theres nothing happening. Water temp was still under 60 degrees.
I went for a ride today to test out my new transducer and ended up out at the tower. Temps were in the lower 60's but closer to the right temp then I thought. I talked to another boat just outside of Rudy and he read the same temp as I so the new transducer is working correctly I hope. Running at 37mph I could still see bottom and mark bait. That really made me happy. I didnt think I would get readings like that without the thru hull transducer.
Thanks for the water temp. update; any day now then.......
[excited]
