Fished the 000 line in 100 fathoms had scatteres grass which made it alot of work since 2 of my crew didnt show up, so it was a busy day with 1 driving and 1 keeping grass of the lines. Within the first hour had about 5 knockdowns and 2 gaffers in the boat. All the hits were on blue/white sailure and dolphin black hole. About an hour later saw a small dolphin jump went over and chummed up 4 small bailers. Also I have an APB out on a 400+ blue marlin dragging a blue/white sailure. Was dragging a naked horse port outrigger and a express/horse shotgun one on a 50tw and the other on a 80tw but he decided to grad the sailure on a 100 lb leader and my 114h senator, needless to say I couldn't stop him but he put on a great 5 min show till he broke the line. Oh well maybe next time, hopefully next year I will have all internationals. Final total 2 nice gaffers 4 small bailers and a lost sailure. will try to post pics of the 2 gaffers

sounds like you had a better day yesterday than we did today. we only boated one sailfish today (monday) outta HI. lost a nice gaffer before it got to the boat. nice to be out on the water, regardless...

it was a great day to be on the water and have that five minutes of that 400+[smile]. we were overboard of you in 200fa. didn't raise a bill but ended with 10 gaffers and a slinger.

Great job. Half the battle is getting one to bite and hoooking it up. Next you will have to make sure you have the right tackle.

They always seem to hit the one rod you do not want them to.

I know what you mean on the rod choice... We landed a 185 lb big eye on a TLD30... Would have been nice to have hooked him on one of the 50's... Hopefully your next blue will hit big tackle and make up for this one!
