Default Wachapreague... July 1st and beyond

Red and I will be down for July 1st thru the 4th. I will be staying down til the 8th-9th (or until I run out of cash[grin])!! We hope to get on some of these fish that we have been reading about for the last week or so. Either way, I will post the results...good or bad, as soon as I return. Hope to meet a few members while we are there. Let us know if anyone will be in town, would like to have some company.

    Hey,

Do you realize you registered with TF on 9/11/01?

    Erie..... :)

    Wachapreague should be fun.

Gonna hit the canyons or stay near the 26?

two weeks ago we were in Wach. I fished the canyons but GW 204 went to the 26 hill. Lots of bluefish, FA and one King Mackerel.
I believe there are some BFT there now.

Read back over the past few days and see what's going on.

If the water is calm, and you have the range, I'd head to the canyons.

Unsure what the wx is doing this weekend. Have not looked at a report in a week. Landlocked! :(

Buy your ballyhoo before you get to wachapraegue as the selection stunk.

It may have changed in the 2 weeks, but the bills were brokem scales were coming off the packs I had as well as one vacuum seal being broken.

From what I've heard the past few days, you don't need to go to the canyons, the 26 mile hill has been full of BFT, and the Lumpy Bottom has been full of bluefish. Will try to hit the 26 sunday and/or sat-mon, wx permitting.
If you need ballyhoo I'd try Tuna Hunter Sportfishing in Quinby (5 miles S of Wacha.)
    What's your boat name?

Be heading down there late Friday night, but plan on working on a turbo on Sat. Sun & Mon looks good for some runs. Stop on by slip 15 if you get a chance.

I can't wait until tommorow am. I will be following Halfshot down the road about 8:30. We will not fish tommorow, Halfshot has a place at Quimby, we will get it opened up, mow grass and watch the boats come in in the afternoon. We can't reach the canyons on Halfshots boats, a little small and not enough fuel. A friend is coming down tommorow evening with his boat 26" Regulator and we will hit the canyons on Friday weather permitting. If not we will stay on the hills. I hope a few gaffers show up on the hills. We seem to catch a hand full every year this same week. We caught one last year 11 miles out. I wont sleep tonight.
