Std rigger missing and port bent, hit something? Looks like a 25 classic. Heard like a couple weeks ago a 25 CC issue a mayday for taking on water. Last Wed heard big 30' center w/a 8" gash taking on water issue a mayday. Too rampant.
Saw this poor fellow towed and floated in Sat. @ SUNSET I HOPE it is an easy fix.Glad NOW that the Grady has Floatation.I ALMOST bought one of those.

The grady may have floatation but it will sink - just not completely under - it does not have upright floatation.
I think the one your thinking about a few weeks ago was a 28 CC. At least I know one sunk somewhere around the fingers then anyway. Outdrive fell off when they backed her down. Didn't take long!
2nd hand report...Boat hit something HARD!!!! Separated the trans from the motor, which separated the outdrive from the transom, leaving a 2" gap all the way around the seal Sank FAST
Heard everyone was OK! [excited][angel] I sure hope so!!!
That is the boat that went down a week or so ago. I was told by Tow boat that the shaft that connects the motor to the drive broke and went back thru the drive.
Also the the insurance company first wrote it off until they heard Tow Boat and the divers on the boat planned to raise it and sell the hull!!!! Insurance company called Thursday and said they wanted it !!!!
It went down around 18 miles out, they had towed in for a while before their pumps just couldn't keep up witht he water coming in.
Damn o/d boats! [grin]
notice that boat did not sink......... she is at the ramp....and a hell of a mess ....but flotation or not she is still up......if a fuel tank is foam/flotationed in....it can lead to alum. tank problems down the road ETC....some guys like it some don't...to the guy who almost bought one......If I had to keep the boat and fish it offshore.....personally I'd take the Carolina over a Grady any day of the week....I have my opinion just as he has his ..[grin]
This was under water for over a week, around 19 miles from the OC inlet.
I'd still take it over the Grady.....
