Default Hatt update - just talked to my partner

The boats in the harbor are all on mud - all the water is blown out of the sound - and another 24 hours of this. Not Good.

At least Randy & all of the guys can be thankfull that they are not again experincing a 10' storm surge. Hopefully, if all are carefull to re-prime all sea water cooled/fed systems, they won't encurr any damage.

    Boards on the window
    Mail by the door
What would anybody leave so quickly for ( hopefully)
    Ophelia
    Tell me, what went wrong.

    Ophelia, by The Band.

A friend emailed these timely lyrics.

    Not too bad so far.

Went down to the boat about 3am stayed untill about 7am.

Wind hard out the east blew all of the sound water out of here, the boat was sitting on the bottom the tide had gotten so low, hopefully we did not bend anything!

    Started floating about 10am.

We had no juice (elec) at the house all day, but now we are living in the lap of luxery with AC, Cable, and Internet! ---- Wahoo!

The only casualty so far is the hood of the Black Beauty (1986 Ford f150).

It was ripped off the truck returning from the boat this afternoon, The skin of the hood seperated from the frame and went flying over the truck, I was driving about 40 into a 40 knot NE wind, the front edge of the hood was rusted. Lucky it did not break the windscreen or land on anyone else. I picked up the skin and it is nothing a hammer, a drill and some big ass rivets wont fix.

Natalie and I sure are enjoying our new house tucked safely back in the woods! Much better than riding one out in a sound front house.

Hopefully she (ophelia) will get her @&%$ together and get on out of her so we can go fishing.

Hope that hood is your only casualty, I bet a little 5200 would seal that thing back in place.. How are the rest of the boats making out??

    Good Luck!
