I've pretty much been away from this board for over a year now due to the total redo of our 1974 31 Bertram. We're looking forward to a spring 2006 launch.
Joe is cruising along and the boat looks amazing. I can't believe this is actually our boat. It really is better than new.
Interior floor painted.
here's the kitchen area, built in micro, refrig, air conditioning, maybe corian counter top, etc. Most aft is the head area but the bulkhead is not in place yet.
Floor really looks awesome.
Check out the shine, new paint job is incredible.
Tarped out and ready to keep painting. Gotta love 65+ degree weather in November!
Man, they are a classic boat to my eyes. I grew up on a 28 and we dreamed of someday having a 31. What are you putting in her for motors? There were 4 or 5 down in Hatteras one weekend this spring and one ran in past us when we were coming in at the end of the day. Me and my fishing buddy must have looked like kids staring through the candy store window. There wasn't a lot in the originals to keep the wife happy but they sure made great fishing platforms. Keep us updated.
Repowered 3 seasons ago with rebuilt 6BTA Cummins 300hp motors. Gives solid 26knt cruise and all day canyon trip on 100-115 gallons. This makeover is pretty extreme, genset, flatscreen tv, dvd player, two E-120 Raymarine displays on the bridge, air conditioning, new interior layout, everything will be redone in an effort to make things better.
Prepping for paintjob right now and will shoot tomorrow AM.
