I purchased mine on e-bay. Just be careful that what you are getting are Coast Guard approved if that is what you need. I saved a ton of money.

Go with the Mustang. I have had mine for about 3 years now. It's great. Shop around for best price - not cheap. But can save your life to fish another day.

Are you talking about an exposure suit or a survival suit? The survival suit is only worn in the event of an emergency. An exposure suit is exactly like what the USCG wears in the cold. If this is what you want then just buy the flotation coat and a seperate set of bibs. I own the full exposure suit for work and unless its -10 degrees, you are gonna sweat like crazy. With the flotation coat you can always take it off, as it heats up pretty good reeling in big Stripers. All of my gear is Sterns, Mustang is basically the same thing. Hope this helps. Any questions you can bmail me. Dave

    Lucian,

One of the companies that advertises in "Boats and Harbors" had an ad for Mustang Survival Suits for @$260. I forwarded my copy to a friend today, so I can not provide the company's telephone number.

Perhaps one of our fellow TF members has a recent copy and can provide the telehone number.

I have a medium Mustang survival suit, it is blue and like new, still with the tags on it. It has built flotation but isthe type you can work and fish in, not the ones like a drysuit, with booties. At best it will fit some one around 5'9" (160lbs). I have had it for two years just sitting in my closet, since I'm 6'1" 250lbs its a shame I can't fit in it. I would like to work out some sort of trade, to get rid if it.
    Bmail me.

This is the one you want. I bought mine from them last year and at the time they had the best price going. It was a little cheaper then than it is now though.

Keep in mind that place locally I told you about that has them in stock so you can try them on for size.

You might want to try I Coopers in Hampton. They usually have a few in stock and on most things their prices are pretty good.

    Rob,

Could you tell us the local place? I fish out of a 19' center console and have been considering one of those suits myself. I would certainly prefer to try one on if possible.

    Thanks,
    Bob
