Hatteras YFT not today

We fished the rockpile today for a scouting trip and caught no yfts. Did catch one false albacore and missed a few other bites. Had something bite off planer bait but other than that a very slow day. One charter boat that i talked to only caught albacore too, possibly may have been a bite by the diamond tower from what i heard at the dock but dont know for sure. Did some deep dropping and caught snapper, porgies, grouper, jacks, and sharks tho, so that was a plus. Oh well it was better than being on land!
