    Default Sailfish Video

I'm still working on pulling our more video, but here are a couple from last week in Isla Mujeres, Mexico where we released 51 sails in two days. 22 for 46 on day one and 29 or 58 on day two.

First video shows some sailfish pods up on top with frigate birds all over the place.

Second Video shows a little action. This tape was damaged so the quality is a little choppy

We fished last Thursday and Friday on the Obsession. We were working on getting the bugs out on Thursday where we only went 22 for 46. On day two, we just had an unbelievable day. We only released 29 fish, but we had probably 10 more that we fought over 5 minutes each before the fish threw the hook. We also had 85 mauled baits. On that day, the cervezas were flowing big time, had to be the best fishing day of my life - lot's of fun. We are going down for an entire week next year and fishing 3 days. There is plenty to do down there.

We stayed at the Cabanas Maria del Mar. Nice place on the north end of the island next to Buho's (The swing bar). I didn't know it before I got there, but I was sitting at the bar and some guys were there and kept asking if I had been out on the beach, I say "I'm on the beach" They urge me to take a walk out to the beach - low and behold, there's some topless action. Wouldn't dare put that on video - otherwise I'd never be allowed to go back [grin]

    Bill,

That place is off the hook. I'm still working on more video, but we just didn't get that much when we had 3, 4 or 5 on at a time. Next time, we'll bring a camera person. I'm already counting the days.
