    Default Ocean City, MD area???

    Hey guys,

I know this is a little off subject, but I am finishing of my college career here at ECU (GO PIRATES!!) and I just received an offer in Berlin/OC, Md area. I know that the cost of living there is $$$$$$ out the roof. I know quite a few posters on here are from that area and thinking maybe they could give me some ideas of reasonable places either in Berlin/OC or possibly Salisbury??

I would love to stay as close to the water as possible being as I live in Pirates Cove every summer, but I know that if I can't afford it I can't afford it.

Just looking to get some thoughts and find somebody who can maybe answer some questions for me.

    Thanks,
    Tommy

Tommy, are you looking for permanent housing or just summer rental? If you are looking for something permanent, there are some decent deals in ocean pines on single family homes. A lot of the apartments and condos there are right on the water and wayyyy too pricey.

Also, the little town of Berlin has some places there, but it will be a big change from ECU[grin]

Moving west, you might be able to find something around pittsville area, basically between OC and salisbury. Salisbury has some cheaper townhomes that are not bad at all. I know there is a complex right off Beaglin Park Rd that has some good deals.

Also, if you are still looking for that single family home on a budget, bishopsville has some decent living as well.

I am currently looking for a place in Ocean Pines for myself. I am also finishing up my last year, but i am at UMD.

Send me a bmail and I can prob hook you up with something.

I need a little more info. I live in Ocean Pines, and can tell you all about the cost of living there (6 miles west of OC).

    Rent or own?

    Short or long term?

    What are you looking for?

If you want, give me a call 410-251-0575.

I am definitely looking to rent atleast for the first year if I choose to accept the job. I am looking for an apartment or condo or possibly an available room. I am planning on signing a one year lease if I come to the area.

Hope this helps a little bit.

I own several rental properties in Salisbury - Currently they are all rented with 1 yr leases. They range anywhere from a 3 bedroom rancher on camden Ave -decent Clean but not luxury for $950 to 2500 square ft on Wicomico River executive rental for $2900 per month. Salisbury is def. not OC or Berlin. Decent place but if you are planning on making the daily trip to Berlin, you better make sure your car/truck has cruise control or budget $300 a yr in speeding tickets. The ******s are everywhere. You may also want to look in Pittsville or willards if you are trying to stay out of town. OP is not bad either. A bit pricey but you could share a house. I would also look in West Ocean City

Damn, Bill. You really do got it all going: Charter business, tackle business, telecom business, real estate mogul now? Can you spare a dime to some of us less fortunate or at least a rigging class? Now that would be cool, but you're probably too busy directing all the hired help.

I have a house in Ocean Pines, canal front w/ pier, 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, decks on front and rear, plenty of parking, direct access to St. Martins river, short run to inlet. I have been thinking about renting. Give me a call and let me know. Thanks

If anyone else is interested, please call.
