Well fished Friday and Sunday 6' to 8' all day long. Saturday was not doable at all. Friday we went 32 miles south south east to the 000 to the 950 and the water was 68 to 70 in 35 fathoms. Current was pushing north. We got beat to up in a 24' Aqua Sport but thats fishing. Crew Myself, John DiLaura NAC member, Tim Seary his son Brad who is 11 and Capt. Ottis. We went 3 for 4 all went 40# on the YFT had a 15# Durado and a 16# Wahoo. Bait blue and white, black and purple red and white, char and yellow rigged withces and a bird green machine WTFB. 2 YFT andaDurado on GM and a HOO on red white planner and 1 YFT on char and yellow witch. We left them bitting at 1200 because it cranked up to 6' to 10'. Then the fun began motor problems. We limped home from out there in that s!^#and took almost four hours. Well could'nt fish Sat so we fixed the dudes motor and went Sunday Started out 6' swell from the south west not bad. So we get to the fleet fish were in the same place same water temp. So we get lines wet and by that time the wind switched and it started blowing 20 out of the NE @#$%. So it welled up to 8' chop so we headed back. We did'nt have on knock down in the 2 hours we fished. The charter fleet at Hatteras Harbor I think they all limited out on the 30 to 50# YFT. Alot of the charters left early with there limit. Oh well next time. All in all a good time and lots of beer.
PS the kid cranked in one of those YFT what a site.[excited][excited][excited][excited]

    Bill,

We fished along side of you Friday on the Marlin Mania for a while and then moved south another 5 miles around lunch time and limited out with most of the fish running 35-45 lbs.

We were watching y'all and wondering how you guys were doing in that size boat with that height and interval. Glad you got some meat and made it home safe.

Hey Kevin I was'nt the Capt. on that ride. We took on hell of a beating. We went a little North and got into a good bite but had to pull the plug motor problems. I won't do it again in that boat you can bety on that. But the dinner on Saturday was excellent I cooked Blackend tuna on the grill Stuffed dolphin with crabmeat and bacon and baked wahoo with lemon and butter with onions on top. Fat and happy.

why take a beating like that? is a fish worth the chance of a bad accident. Use your brains guys. stay at the docks in marginal weather. All the true salty capts. are at the bottom of the ocean!
