Default A few must have items

I noticed East Coast Tackle's advertisement at the top of the page, and the daisy chain bag caught my eye. so I browsed thru the site.

How many tips have you read & agreed with about proper preparation. This is your chance to follow-thru on those recommendations.

    1) Buy several of the daisy chain bags. these are the ideal storage bag for items like: premade trolling leaders, chunking leaders, rigged-up lures, rigged trail-baits for spreader bars, your WWB wind-on, etc...these are the type of bags you get when you buy 100+ lb. test florocarbon.

    2) Spreader bar bag--if you don't have several, get a few more. they keep your spreader bars organized, tangle free & easily accessible.

3)Shakespeare line counter--buy one. lifesaver & fishcatcher when deploying lines like the WWB. How about when you get a bite on the 50 ft balloon while chunking? You can rapidly drop out another 50 ft balloon rig with the line counter. I live by it.

not a solicited ad for ECT. I have never purchased from them, but do own all the items I am recommending & rely on them heavily.

You can buy the five pouch bags for the leaders at Boater's World. I have all my offshore rigs in them - easier to find the colors they are hitting on fast.

I also use these bags for the simple fact that my rigs can be quickly hosed down with fresh water while inside the bag and let them dry during the ride back (in the truck) home. Then I can remove them and clean them up some more.

I love the line counters. They dont hold up for long though. been using them for 2 years. Ive had to replace every one at least once. at 12.00 bucks it gets expensive. now I just set the line and use the same counter to do the next

I don't mount the line counter on the rod, I use 1 counter. hold it onto the line as it pays out & you are counting. keep it accessible with the rest of your tools
