A good week......

Fished four days this week. Great action every day. Fished my buddy's cc one day and got 7 little yft around the 610. they seemed to like everything that was blue that day in our spread. Second day fished my buddies boat. Nice 34 ft outa pirate's cove. Had a decent day for his first time fishing the boat. Broke her in decent. Had 5yf and a couple dolphin. Got to fish his dad's boat in the Pirate's Cove Tourny and man she is a beautiful rig. 55ft viking...brand new and we did 35 knots in 15-20 knot winds without a single thump the whole ride. Had a good day the day before the tourny too on the viking but all the days are blurred together at this point. It was nice to kick it in the ac and watch the line to cool off. Anyway that was the first day of the 1st annual tuna tourny outa pirate's cove. We started off slow for awhile and didn't get our first bite until we got slammed by a few big dolphin. Slow for awhile until we got clobbered on the green bar/gm down the center with everything tight around it. After a 25 minute fight the line popped. After my buddy put the pole down i checked the drag and he had it wayyyyyy tooooooo tight. We asked him at least five times too loosen it. Line pulleed tight....tightened and got thinner then slid through the crimps a little and tightening on the hook and after 20 minutes....PING DAMMIT....that was a nice one. Back in the game and we saw a big eye smash the bird g/m and air around 2 ft out the water. I fought the fish for around 25 minutes and he came to the gaff and met steal. I couldn't fish the second day cause i had to bartend at 4 but you can check the results at this site http://www.pcbgt.com/ ..Pictures later...going to longboard for awhile......The COBIA BITE IS HOT!!!

The results say yellowfin but i thought it was a big eye....anyway...good fish

Good job Till! We were going to fish it but the weather looked snotty for day two and figured I should try and work the last couple of days before the trip.
