LYN B crotch & 30 fa

fished my first charter on the Lyn B on july 1 ,we had a good group onboard from PA , had a great time with them .

water temp was 75.5 and very clear , started out at the crotch with the fleet . early on the fishing was tough ,I think the boat traffic caused the fish to be skiddish .

spread was spreader bars , GM/ bird , ceder plugs , squid chains , seawitchs blu/wht & shovel with blu/wht islander .

picked up a 50 in bft on the wwwb witch then worked our way north to get away from the boat traffic . had a couple of dolphin bites . put 3yft in the box and was just about to finish for the day had two more bites , one was a yft the other was a 8ft mako that the charter fought for 45 in & then released .

they shot some great video of the shark and the bft . nice day to be out and just about flat . until next time tight lines and fair seas .

Great report, Kevin. You are so right about week-end traffic. Yesterday, we had only a fraction of the strikes that we had the day before in the same area when only an occasional boat was on the horizon. That's why much of my fishing is on week days. Regards, Van

thanks for the replys , the fishing was better inshore with fish caught from the 20 to 30 fa lines .

Dave this was a working trip for me not pleasure , but it is fun to see someone catching their first tuna .

hope to get back out again next weekend we have two trips scheduled .
