a few weeks back someone here was talking about the radar you can get on your cell phone ,can't find the post there even was a picture of the screen with the radar on it that was posted, which carriers offer that option,I'am getting ready to get new phones and will switch to whoever offer's the radar option, looked at Verizon and Cingular didn't see it as a choice?
I have the Treo and I get Inernet explorer. That way its a much bigger screen and normal webpages with motion. Alot of webpages are not formatting for Treo's and other web phones. mobile.wunderground.com
1. get internet access on your device,
2. go to this link http://mobile.wunderground.com/
3. plug in your desired zip,
4. text or email yourself the link.
This will give you forecast, link to radar and a link to the marine forecast.
Cingular has Mycast loaded on JAVA enabled phones and it costs $3 / month for service. I tried the Accuweather service and you had to 're-signup' every month, which was a hassle.
Its really a great feature for those of us who don't own $3000 Garmin units w/ weather satellite access for an additional $30/mo. Especially in these months of scattered t-storms.[smile]
I have a Blackberry and access the internet on it and use Accuweather. They have a WAP interface and even taylor it to specific providers. They great animated radar maps that load quickly, zoom in and out etc.. If you have net access on your phone check it out, works great for me.
