Even on a crowded Saturday....

....still some crabs to 8' in the Wye.

A couple of our 'usual' places to crab when it's crowded were already gone before our legal time to drop some traps. Worked hard in three other places....(figured no crabs in those spots or somebody from that crowd woulduv been there)......to bring home a dozen and a half crabs from 5 1/2' - 8'.

Also caught a turtle. As long as I've been crabbing, this was a first for us in a collapsible trap. Stuffed in there, he was as long and as wide as the trap. Must have gotten 'caught' before he could scoot all the way out the other side.

Water was dark, with an oily sheen on top, and lotsuv little spot dining on our nex, but that river continues as one of our favorite places to be, even when it's crowded.

Curious if anybody else from here did any good in that crowd?

I went Saturday left dock at about 10:30 caught about
3/4 bushell but had to work hard for them left about 3:30.
The crabs wernt as big as they have been and water
quality didn't look real good but this is also one of my
favorite places to crab. Good luck to you next time.
