Flounder Report

I fished Indian River Bay for the first time Saturday. We caught 11 flounder with 3 being keepers and 1 was over 20'. I don't know the areas very well yet but as best as I can tell we were drifting north to south, starting south of the main channel and ending at Quillens point. I tried Massey's ditch and the Coast Guard station but had no luck. I did see some guys catching what looked like stripers from a distance at the CGS. I hope to be a regular soon!

Good job. I caught one in the OC outlet last year and it was tiny. :(

Good to hear, what were you using?

We drifted the ditch about 3 weeks ago and picked up a handful of small flounder and 1 sea trout, all on squid...also pulled up a couple blue crabs on the lines but only spiders in the traps.

We were using minnows on the bottom hook and that squid that's packed in peeler juice on the top hook. We caught fish on both but most came on the minnows.
