A bushel and a half isn't a bad morning! Nice job.

Started at legal crabbing time with 30 traps and 500' of snood line. Within 2 hours we a had a full bushel, nothing real huge, but very heavy crabs. Not alot of light crabs. Caught about a dozen cows which went back in, and about a dozen doublers too. We tried for the second bushel, but but the tide stopped around 9:30 so we quit with an additional 1/2 bushel.
Reading reports about the Chester, amke me wish we have tried over there. I may hit Eastern Neck Island next week.

Thanks, I wasn't going to take the line, but that actually produced much better than the traps. This summer, the line didn't do as much, but it kicked butt yesterday.
Stump,
We crabbed E-bay yesterday w/ 1200 ft of snoodline and had very similar results. Kept about 1.5 bushel of nice crabs and threw back a lot of females and some light crabs. It was best early (6:30-7:30) but I got at least a few per run until I quit at about 10 am.
I was in 6-9 ft of water and I got one jumbo, I wonder if I should have tried deeper for more jumbos. No doublers for me yesterday.
Steve, I crabbed all depths and 5-7 ft was key for us. By 8:30 we had our bushel ,and the quality dropped off a bit after that.
