Potomac report

Started at 7am trolled downriver from the 301 bridge to Clements and back. Marked lots of fish on the dropoffs and edges...especially around the channel side of Carter's Lumps. Tried everything I had in the tacklebox....sassyshads, spinners, yozuri minnows, bucktails..... including altering my course and speed, but they weren't taking anything. Got checked by VMP, who were very friendly and pulled alongside, so I didn't have to bring in any lines. .....still a beautiful day!

there are some small stripers in the river now north of the 301 bridge. we caught a bunch throwing black and gray bass assassins to them. all small, one was 17.5 inches but still fun to cast to and lots of action.

..That's good news. I've been flyfishing a chartreause zonker pattern in the evenings around the island near Fairview....I didn't get out this weekend, but I have been catching lots of schoolies.
