Chester River Thursday Reoprt

Crabbed the Chester River Thursday afternoon. Attempted to hit my #1 hole but wind was blowing so hard I had to change my game plan. Not much cover from the wind but found a semi laid down spot across from Rolph's Warph. Dropped 30 traps at 3:30 and finished at 5:30. Finished the afternoon with 1 decent bushel of male crabs. Did not catch 1 female. Most crabs were 6 1/2 dark hard crabs. Caught 3 bombs. Overall a good afternoon to spend with my pop. I did most of my damage in 10-11 foot of water.

Thanks for the report. I'm deciding where to go tomorrow, and Rolph's is a good option.

Thanks for the report. Went Tuesday on the Choptank and caught a bushel but all we could catch was females. Ended up with 20 males out of the whole bushel.I did well on the Chester last year up til late October, so if it doesn't get too cold it should stay productive. Good job.
