    Default Pax Report--Monday

Kids were off from school headed to the Pax, many crabs first run filled a bushel basket on 1200 snood. culled for about 2 hours and bait was demolished. One bushel of males first two hours, rebaited my line and moved it into 6-7 ft and males were all over the line. 2 bushels of males dark and dirty. Many, many, many females they sure do a number on your bait. RJ thanks for the tip, the crabfest was great.

    Default Pax Report--Monday

what part of the pax? I have been going by the power plant and it has been really good but no really big males and it seemed like there was just a big slough. Does anyone know if larger males ever come in? 3weeks ago 10-14 was best for me then last weekend 7-8 far surpassed the deep so go figure. Up there I haven't had a female problem. Glad you did so well and good luck the rest of the season

    Default Pax Report--Monday

I hit the Pax this past Sunday. We were just south of Benedict Bridge. We caught lots of females. We were crabbing in 7-9ft. 3 of us in kayaks, with 21 traps. In 3 hours we caught about 3 dozen crabs. About 1/2 were females. I may have to try north of the bridge next time. We crabbed the same area a couple weeks before and only caught one female in about 2 1/2 hours.
