Default Prize Money for Largest Crab 10/21

A great new fishing tournament will take place Saturday, OCTOBER 21st in the upper Chesapeake bay. Fishing is by boat only from anywhere within the defined tournament boundaries (roughly between Fairlee Point to the upper end of Pooles Island to the Chesapeake City Harbor westward). The weigh-in will be held between 1 and 4 p.m. at the outdoor pavilion located behind the Chesapeake City Town Dock. Anglers of all ages are invited to compete, and the tournament entry fee is an easy $100.00 PER BOAT (not per person).

Big-league monetary prizes will be awarded for the largest Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Catfish and Blue Crab, with additional calcuttas for the striped bass and LMB categories. We anticipate 200 – 250 boats to compete and we’ve already signed on with 25 local sponsors. The weigh-in will be followed by a post-tourney party at the Bayard House with live music, drink specials, and more than a few fishing stories. All tournament participants, spectators, and their friends and family are invited to the after party. As this tournament is being held to benefit the Generation Station Youth Program, 50% of all entry fees and donations are tax-deductible.

Don’t miss this chance to have a really good excuse to go fishing. Sign up at Sarge’s Bait and Tackle or phone in your registration. Go to: www.genfishcc.com for a registration form, tournament rules, and all the details!

Rules say hook and line only. Being that there's a catagory for crabs, does that mean hook and line for them also? I know it's possible since I've put a neck on a hook and caught crabs and Gerald caught a crab jigging a spoon yesturday but shucks, it's gonna be kidda hard.
