FINS Fishing Adventures!!

Fished alongside of Persistence, Frantic, Juggernaut and Succession. Our first knockdown came about 30 minutes after putting lines in,. Mystery bite on a long rigger then a minute later a rat blue sneeks into our short shotgun and all chaos ensues. Shey who was mating was first to notice and because my electronics were not working on the tower, he scampered up the tower and instructed fellow crew to drop back. Perfect drop back, fish is hooked and jumping behind the boat. Just as quickly as it began, it ended!! Resulting loss was due to crimp failure. My lure, my rod, my fault. No one was more dissapointed than myself. Oh well, continue on the troll hearing multiple white sightings. No bites for hours. Finally, our spreader bar gets smashed but hook pulls. Damn it!! Shortly thereafter, Long rigger comes down hard but not tight. I jump on the rod and drop back. Fish comes back and eats!! Lock drag and wind tight. Fish pulls me off the cooler I was standing on. Hand rod off to Twila looking for her first tuna. She does a wonderful job in the chair (Everyone barking out instructions). Initial pull felt like a tuna but it became more evident it wasnt. Initial thought was wahoo. When fish finally came to leader we realized this was not tuna or wahoo. Lord and behold its a white. No jumps, acrobats or leaps. Shey billed her and I snapped some pics and let her go back to the abyss. What a great feeling. Anyway, picked up one skippy and that was it. Great fishing with Chad, Glenn, Kevin and the Juggernaut crew. Twila did get creeked!! She had three hours to prepare for her dunking!!
