Founded in 2001, with roots going back to 1996, we are one of the largest recreational fishing sites on the Internet. We are proud to report we have 54,730 registered members (as of June 2009), do over 4.1 million page-views a month, our visitors stay on the site over twenty (20) minutes per session and view over thirteen pages per visit. We truly have a "community" of dedicated Tidal Fish anglers who converse on our message boards posting fishing reports, pictures, and sharing fishing tips and techniques. We also offer fishing articles covering saltwater, freshwater, fly fishing, and conservation. We feature fishing news, have a very active and full Calendar of Events as well as Classified Ad section featuring used fishing boats, fishing tackle, electronics and other fishing and boating categories . Tidal Fishers get together outside the website for Tidal Fish get-togethers, Tidal Fish fishing tournaments, crab feasts, lead pouring and tackle making parties and casual in-prompt-to meetings. This camaraderie among members develops dedicated Tidal Fishers which leads to supporting companies that support the site. Our audience is mainly located on the East Coast of the United States with a very heavy concentration of anglers in the Mid-Atlantic Region (New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina). Though our concentration of anglers is in the Mid Atlantic, we expanded through out the Northeast in 2008 have developed a stong viewing audience of light tackle and fly anglers from New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts in 2009. On a state level our top three states in order of visitor levels is: Maryland, Virginia, and New York. On a larger view, we also have anglers visit us on a monthly basis from all 50 United States and from over 80 countries around the world. The top ten countries outside of the United States are: Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Anguilla, South Africa, Italy, India, and Mexico. Our most recent site analytics (we use Google Analytics as our tracking software) for the last thirty days as of May 26, 2009: Average time of stay per visit: 21.04 minutes Average pages per visit: 13.60 We offer several options to advertise your company or service on TidalFish.com: Banner Advertising We offer banner advertising on our message boards. Pricing is based on a monthly basis per message board; prices differ depending on the particular board.Our most expensive rates are for our message boards that get the most traffic which include our Maryland, Virginia, and Mid Atlantic Offshore Message Boards. Rates are $84/month with a 12 month commitment or $99/month with a 6 month commitment. Anything less then a 6 month commitment is $199/month. Other message board banner rates are less and vary depending on the board. Please inquire for pricing. We never rotate in more then six banners on any one board in a location. Unlike other sites, we only show two banners per page located at the top of the page, which assures that Tidal Fishers will see your ad. Our banner size is 400x50 with a max file size of 12k. The banner can be a JPEG, GIF or animated Gif. Banners are located at the top of the message boards and stretch across the top of the page above the fold. An example of our banner size is below. This is also an excellent option for companies looking to get feedback on a product or service as it allows (should you choose) Tidal Fishers to post comments, ask questions and/or provide feedback and allows you to answer questions or ask others in the thread. The form of advertising also allows you to incorporate a poll where you can collect feedback in a formal way. Rates are $55/week per message board for for-profits and $25/week for non-profits.
