Went speckled trout fishing today, trying to take advantage of the full moon. It was slow. My son caught the only speck all day but it was the first speck of the season. The fish was caught in about 4' of water. He caught it on a chart. grub.

Have fun when you go.

We ended up with 5. My buddy caught all of them; I guess my pinky wasn't extended far enough. Saw the cops checking people - I guess your lines were invisible to them! Chart. bass assassin caught 4, white assassin got 1.

Way to go Jim, I have not tried. I was thinking the water would still be a bit cold even for specs. I guess I'll have to get the Sandfiddler in the water.

I know there is this secret brotherhood with spec fishing. But can you get me close? Where you in 4' of water near where you usually launch your boat :)) Would I fish the same area I fished for them in the fall/late summer?

Thanks,
Jason

Jason the answer to your question is yes. Although I have only heard of a few fish being caught there. I think the majority of the specks being caught now are not in the place you are referring.
