I see folks have problems with this bill. Can some one provide the history behind it? The recent discussion on the main board has not answered my question as to what is significantly wrong with the bill, assuming there is something better to be done to support the current bay stock. I happen to think the bill is a good one.

What is our organization's stance on this subject?

MBA... I'm shocked nobody has responed to your post.

It is my understanding that MSSA supports this legislation.

Either way... its good legislation and something as an individual you should consider supporting. Protecting spawning fish AND ensuring a vibrant fishery makes good sense to me.

MSSA Definitely supports this bill. Rich is part of a panel supporting the bill during a Senate hearing this afternoon. I will be there also, along with a strong contingent of supporters from chapters throughout the State and CCA. We're expecting a strong turnout from the MWA. This is a good bill that does what CCA has asked DNR to do for more than eight years. It supports their YP Restoration project.
